Product information
The Binho Pulsar is a wide-protocol USB host adapter designed for hardware development, firmware development, verification, automated testing and memory programming.
Pulsar provides six digital buses on dedicated pins: I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, 1-Wire and CAN-FD. The protocols can operate simultaneously, alongside six configurable GPIO pins for functions such as interrupts, resets and chip selects.
The USB 2.0 High Speed interface provides a 480 Mbps connection to the host PC. Pulsar also provides programmable downstream power from 1.2 V to 3.3 V for powering a device under test.
For hands-on development, Binho Mission Control provides a cross-platform graphical interface for creating transactions, monitoring buses and running repeatable sequences. The Python SDK enables automation and includes Jupyter notebook examples, while C, C++ and C# SDKs provide direct device access for integration into software and automated test frameworks.
Pulsar can also be used for I2C EEPROM and SPI Flash programming through Mission Control's Memory Programmer, including read, write, verify, blank-check and erase functions.
The unit features a CNC-machined aluminum enclosure, five RGB status LEDs, integrated mounting holes and a fanless design. It is supplied with the required cables, adapters, mounting hardware, protective carry case, and Total Retrofitter Pro adapters for I2C and SPI.
Typical applications include:
-Device driver development
-Firmware development and verification
-Proof-of-concept development
-Automated hardware and firmware testing
-FLASH and EEPROM programming
